		The Sixties Recording Experience is an opportunity for anyone who enjoys singing or playing the music from the sixties to perform and record it in the environment of a recording studio, either singing to backings or musically. (Any era or any mixture can in fact be selected!) You can read a full description lower down this page and the experience can be booked as a recording studio experience for 3, 4, 5 or 10 hours at the links in the box below.

The Beatles Experience is the traditional "singing to backings" version of the recording studio experience but with a focus on the songs of the "Fab Four" and other sixties icons.

Still at £250, it offers five hours in a professional studio environment to sing sixties numbers, (or tracks from any other era, if preferred). There is also a three hour mini-experience available at £160. If you know someone who's a massive sixties fan and loves to sing, this could be a brilliant novel gift for them! (*All Sixties Experience vouchers or other specialist vouchers can be used as general recording studio experiences if so desired. Your voucher is totally flexible and you can book to record whichever styles you like. )

The Beatles experience session, intended for complete beginners in a recording studio, is a lot of fun, with plenty of support from our friendly studio staff. The whole recording atmosphere is geared to relaxation and enjoyment, even though the resulting CD is often highly impressive! Come in a car with a CD player!

If you're wondering what you can hope to record during a recording studio experience, you can allow for around six tracks, possibly more if you are really well rehearsed. A mini-experience will allow for two or three.

During our sixties experience, our production engineer will also work with you on microphone technique and layering of vocals in a variety of typical Beatles styles, or typical Kinks styles if you want. Our Sixties stars for the day are able to select backings from our in-house catalogue, or request more unusual tracks to be ordered in. Occasionally bespoke tracks can be developed.

Vocal tuning software is available for that additional polish which is sometimes requested on a singer experience! We also have a variety of vocal effects and techniques to lend different qualities to your vocals, and help you to simulate the vocals of your favourite Beatle, be it John , Paul, George or Ringo, or maybe another great sixties icon such as Cat Stevens!

* A beautiful voucher for the experience day by first class post, with a personal letter describing the gift.
* A commercial standard disc and MP3 of your recording.
* Free use of the studio in-house backings (many thousands). Two tracks may also be bought in from our approved supplier at our expense, within the cost of the 5 hr voucher, or one track for the 3 hr voucher.
* Microphone coaching.
* Vocal layering instruction where required
* Tuning assistance if needed, for that final product!
* Vocal and/or microphone coaching where required.
* Up to four may come with you to back you up, and take photographs.

Your Sixties Recording Studio Experience Day

Your day begins when you arrive at the studio, and meet the team. A brief chat follows during which we introduce ourselves and find out something about you and your interest in Beatles and other music. You may wish to have a cup of tea or something else, although by that stage, you'll realise that recording in this environment is a very relaxed event, and the agenda will be set largely by you.

Then into the studio, where your tracks have already been loaded.

Phil will work with you through your numbers, and the atmosphere is light and enjoyable. As you work, you get to hear elements to the finished product, and can walk through into the main studio to listen and contribute to ideas for improvement, changes etc, and see how all those buttons work!

If you run out of material during your Sixties recording studio experience we can download or source other tracks in minutes to make the most of your day.

During the last hour you can relax whilst Phil brings your recording together, and your disc is personalised to your taste.

You then leave with a fantastic Beatles "album" to listen to - and hopefully a CD player in the car!
