The Bunkhouse enable the Beehouse to provide a residential studios profile. The newly equipped premises comprise four newly decorated rooms of various sizes with two-tier bunks in the front range of the building, looking onto open fields. Bedding is provided. Currently there is space for sixteen: ten more places will soon be available with one room suitable for family groups, along with a small common room and basic catering facilities. Llanfyllin itself is a very interesting and historic micro-town, having a tiny population but a secondary school and sixth form. Lake Vyrnwy is nearby, lying just to the south of Snowdonia. This is a man-made water reservoir with a perimeter road 11.75 miles long. Situated a very brief drive from the Shropshire border it represents a lovely day-out from areas such as Birmingham and Liverpool.
Just 8 miles from the Beehouse, Lake Vyrnwy is the focal point for much of the nature-based tourism in the area.
